TheraB Medical Collaborates with University Hospitals Cleveland

[July 17 2024] TheraB Medical and University Hospitals are excited to announce that they have formed a collaboration to focus on the successful commercialization of TheraB flagship product, SnugLit- the wearable jaundice treatment for infants.

University Hospitals has fostered a longtime interest in innovating in this space and is excited to work with TheraB to focus on creating an innovative product that meets the needs of clinicians along with patients and their families.

This collaboration will take shape through several engagements, including usability studies, clinical feedback, and future clinical studies at University Hospitals once SnugLit is in the market.

The UH team is led by UH Ventures – the innovation arm of University Hospitals - and UH clinicians Katherine Griswold, MD, and Claudia Hoyen, MD.

“We are excited to collaborate on this innovative product that addresses treatment for a common newborn problem in a more patient-friendly and family-focused manner,” said Dr. Griswold, a pediatric hospitalist.

“We are excited to work with University Hospitals, a renowned hospital network in the Cleveland area,” said Alexa Jones, CEO and Founder of TheraB Medical. “We admire UH’s commitment to bringing innovation into their health system and look forward to working with them as an early clinical partner.”
