TheraB Medical Products and Cortex Design Announce Strategic Product Development Partnership
LANSING, MI. (August 21, 2023)— TheraB Medical Products, a medical technology company focused on improving neonatal care, is proud to announce a strategic partnership with Cortex Design, an award-winning industrial design, engineering, and manufacturing firm based in Toronto, Canada. This collaboration aims to accelerate the innovation and commercialization of SnugLit, TheraB’s innovative wearable device for the treatment of infant jaundice.
Cortex Design brings extensive experience in product development, engineering, and design across various industries, making it a natural fit for TheraB's product development and commercialization goals.
This partnership capitalizes on the respective strengths of both companies, combining TheraB's deep understanding of neonatal care needs, with Cortex Design's expertise in translating ideas into tangible, user-centric products. Together, they will work collaboratively to a next-generation medical device that enhances clinical outcomes, streamlines clinical workflows, and drastically improves patient experience.
"Our partnership with Cortex Design marks a significant milestone in our journey to modernize the way jaundice is treated across the globe," said Alexa Jones, Founder and CEO of TheraB Medical Products. "By joining forces, we aim to accelerate our commercialization timeline and begin useability studies with partner hospitals before the end of the year."
“Alexa has created a product that excited us from the very beginning. As a father of 3, I know first hand how important it is to be in close physical contact with your child immediately after birth, and how painful it is to be separated due to a medical condition,” said Dylan Horvath, Founder and CEO at Cortex Design Inc. “TheraB is perfectly aligned with our mission to develop MedTech products that improve the human experience, and we are invested in Alexa and TheraB for that reason.”
